Have you ever wondered what it would be like to watch a solar eclipse from the surface of different planets across our solar system? Us too!
This hand-drawn concept t-shirt imagines some of the various moons within our solar system transiting our sun. We loved thinking about how large the sun might appear in the sky and finding moons that may appear smaller than the sun during transit (lots of them would completely block out the sun!) — if you look closely, you'll even see two of Mars’s smaller moons eclipsing the sun at once. Of course, some of our planets are gas giants, so we’ve imagined ourselves hovering somewhere within their strange atmospheres, where you might catch a glimpse of Saturn’s rings through the clouds.
And while this is imagined concept art for now, the MinuteEarth team maaay just have a way for you to experience a first-person view of these and more eclipses coming very soon, right from your own computer…
